Jimmy Creten - Team Owner

The path to becoming a Monster Jam® World FinalsSM Champion for Jim Creten dates back to the mid-1980s when he had a street truck that he was always modifying. Northeast Kansas provided great off-roading spots, he was soon competing in full-fledged mud-bogs on the weekends. In 1996, he decided to purchase his own Monster Jam truck. And the rest, as they say, is history.

With a sterling reputation as an owner and as a driver, Creten also became known for creating top-flight equipment with massive horsepower. Creten has an extensive mechanical background, a robotics degree from Kansas State University, and experience as an engineer with Colgate-Palmolive that allows him to confidently have a hand in all aspects of his team’s performance. The reputation for excellence that 2Xtreme Racing has gained in the sport is best evidenced by the team being named Team of the Year in 2006, 2007, and 2008. Creten’s team is the only team to have been awarded the prestigious honor for three consecutive years.

After he solidified himself as one of the greatest racers in the sport, Creten finally climbed the mountain to World Championship status in freestyle, taking the World Freestyle Championship in Las Vegas at Monster Jam World Finals in 2005. As the owner of 2Xtreme Racing, Creten has introduced several Monster Jam trucks into the sport, which include the popular Scarlet Bandit, for his wife Dawn. On top of the Iron Outlaw Monster Jam truck, a second Bounty Hunter Monster Jam truck has also been put into competition.
